Why do people try to force their Religion on Others?

I was just wondering why people say that someone is wrong if they don't practice the same religion

According to them pag sumanib ka sa kanila maliligtas ka. But u know, religion doesn't guarranty that you will be saved. It is your faith in God that will lead to an everlasting life. Amen!
